For Just TKK, music isn’t just a passion—it’s a reflection of life, growth, and survival. His journey began around 2009–2010, inspired by Southern hip-hop legends like Lil Wayne, BG, Soulja Slim, and Boosie. But the real spark came closer to home. Watching his uncle—who admired BG and Soulja Slim—rap lyrics and write poetry opened a new world for him. That influence, combined with joining the choir as a kid, pushed him to step into music himself.
From OTMGlizzy to Just TKK
Originally known as OTMGlizzy starting in 2014, the name stuck for years. But as he evolved, so did his identity. Now in 2026, he’s embracing a more personal name: Just TKK—a name rooted in family, given to him by his grandmother at birth. It marks not just a rebrand, but a deeper connection to who he is.
Pain That Shaped the Artist
While music started as something fun, life quickly added layers of meaning. Losing his brother Tootie at just 15 changed everything. Within a short span of 2–3 years, he also lost his aunt and grandmother, Eatoria. These moments didn’t stop him—they fueled him. The hardships, combined with the realities of growing up, sharpened his creativity and gave his music a distinct voice.
Later, the loss of his brother Wynston in his early 20s hit just as hard, causing him to step back and process the pain. These experiences are deeply embedded in his artistry, shaping both his sound and his message.
Growth, Motivation, and Staying Grounded
Today, Just TKK stays motivated through the support of his close circle and family. His perspective is clear: life will test you, but it’s about using those moments as fuel rather than letting them stop you. This mindset continues to push him forward as he refines his craft.
A Different Approach to Collaboration
Unlike many artists chasing features, Just TKK is focused on authenticity. He’s open to working with others—but only if the message aligns. He avoids music that promotes harm and instead aims to uplift, inspire, and speak on deeper realities, going beyond surface-level storytelling about the streets.
New Release: “Uncharted Love”
Just TKK’s latest project, “Uncharted Love,” is an 11-track album that dives into the emotional complexities of relationships. The project explores themes like trust, loyalty, betrayal, faith, self-growth, and support—offering listeners a raw and honest perspective on love in all its forms. It’s available now on major platforms including Apple Music, Spotify, and YouTube.
An Introvert with a Voice
Despite being naturally introverted, Just TKK uses music as his outlet. He values privacy and often speaks on past experiences rather than his present, finding it easier to express himself once he’s processed what he’s been through. This creates a unique dynamic in his music—deeply personal, yet carefully revealed.
