In today’s crowded music landscape, genuine originality is rare, but Pierce North isn’t just another emerging artist, he’s a creative force shaped by legacy, passion, and relentless evolution. Hailing from Virginia, Pierce has quickly become one of the region’s most dynamic rising stars, known for his triple threat skill set as an engineer, producer, and rapper.
For Pierce, music wasn’t just something he stumbled into, it was in his blood. His earliest spark came from the basement of his grandfather, a DJ from the 80s whose equipment filled space became a childhood sanctuary. Giant subwoofers, stacks of vinyl, turntables, sirens, an entire universe of sound that unlocked Pierce’s imagination before he even knew what a mixer or soundboard really did. “I used to spend hours down there pretending I was hosting the biggest party in the world,” he recalls. That early exposure planted a seed he couldn’t ignore.
Years later, another pivotal moment hit when he caught Travis Scott’s “Upper Echelon” video on late night TV as a young teen. “It blew my mind,” he says. The punk trap energy, the forest scenes, the raw aesthetic, it showed him how far creativity could be pushed. He wasn’t just inspired, he was called.
Today, that same fire fuels everything Pierce creates.
With his upcoming debut project V, a seven track, high intensity release packed with sharp lyricism and bold production, Pierce feels like he’s stepping into the moment everything has been leading up to. No filler, no skips, just pure momentum. He’s also preparing collaborative releases with fellow Saint29 partner Papi Pino, as well as an additional project with collaborator PL4L Wick.
And the industry is already responding. Legendary producer Scott Storch recently sent Pierce a beat, an early sign of the rooms Pierce is beginning to enter and the talent he brings to the table.
For an artist who’s been releasing music since his mid teens and already accumulated tens of thousands of streams, Pierce sees the past as only the warm up. Now, he’s stepping confidently into the spotlight, where technical precision meets artistic vision.
“Everything I’ve done so far feels like practice,” he says. “We’re still just getting started.”
With V on the horizon and a creative team that pushes him higher, including Papi Pino, the other half of their powerhouse duo, Pierce North is shaping a lane entirely his own. Virginia has a rising powerhouse, and the industry is beginning to pay attention.
